The Visionary
Our story begins with Gagan Gurung, a passionate mixologist with a unique vision. After years of studying tea traditions from around the world and mastering the art of mixology, Gagan saw an opportunity to create something truly innovative.
“I wanted to create a space where the ancient art of tea could meet contemporary cocktail culture. Every drink should tell a story, honoring traditions while pushing boundaries.”
Our Beginning
In 2019, Tell Camellia opened its doors in the heart of Hong Kong. The name itself reflects our philosophy – “Tell” represents storytelling through drinks, while “Camellia” is the genus of tea plants, honoring the foundation of our craft.
From the beginning, we set out to create a space that would challenge conventions and offer something truly unique in the world of cocktails.


From Gardens to Your Glass
Our journey begins in the pristine tea gardens of Nepal, where we source our finest teas. Each leaf, carefully plucked and processed, carries the essence of its terroir.
Through meticulous processing and fermentation, these tender leaves transform into rich tea liqueur, creating unique flavors that tell the story of their origin and each sip tells the story of the terroir, the careful cultivation, and the artisanal processing that brings out the best in every leaf.
